Jean Grapp, an award winning artist, has gained recognition in a number of publications including the books Realism in Revolution: The Art of the Boston School and The Best of Flower Painting which features her artwork, "Lilac", on the cover. Haddad’s Fine Arts has published prints of "Lilac".

Jean paints in oils creating still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and imaginative paintings. Commissioned portraits include that of Chief Justice Edward Devitt of the United States District Court (which hangs in the historic Landmark Center in St. Paul, Minnesota) and Mr. Dwight Opperman the former Chief Executive Officer of West Publishing Company.

Ms. Grapp studied for three years at the University of Minnesota and for four years at Atelier Lack, a unique school which draws its esthetic and teaching philosophy from a direct lineage to the Boston School of American Impressionists and the French Academy.
